Teazer’s new solo show explores the last few years of his work on the street
and mixes it up. The Show opens at 6pm til 9pm on thursday the 29th October
at Oh Really Gallery, 55 Enmore road, Newtown.
Tight pieces, Manga characters, and Portraits from photos. Everything is a
remix of something like the idea you had yesterday. Magazines, Music,
Skateart, and Coco Pop boxes, mixed with graffiti lettering, stencils and
street signs. Teazer’s work provokes that nothing is an original thought and
that so much of our lives are consumed with media.
Teazer’s artwork utilises different techniques for board, canvas or found
objects. A lot of freehand, a lot of taping, whatever technique it takes to
finish the artwork. The technique isn’t as important as the look of the
final work, it has to be clean, handmade with a level of finish as if
printed straight out of a computer.
