It’s a body of work with the power to make a difference. This September, aMBUSH Gallery and Lusid Art illuminate the complex subject of women’s body image, self-confidence and comparison, when one of Australia’s largest female group shows is unveiled; ‘Praise You’, proudly supporting The Butterfly Foundation.
The artists have joined forces to educate, inform and challenge the accepted ideas of body image and comparison, by appreciating and empowering all elements of the female form through visual art, to increase awareness of the impact of body image in today’s society.
Through the sale of their donated artworks at Praise You, the artists also aim to raise much-needed funds for The Butterfly Foundation, Australia’s leading charity organisation practicing in the prevention, treatment and support of those affected by eating disorders and negative body image, with 100% of art sales and event proceeds donated to the charity.
Praise You showcases compelling artworks across several mediums and styles, including collage, illustration, painting, and photography, all of which present female body image in a positive light.
Curated by Lusid Art, and presented by aMBUSH Gallery, it is a celebration of female bodies, art and their support of each other.
