Last Sunday we presented the Crush City Block Party in Brisbane with KEMS (USA), BERST (NZ) and surprise guests SOFLES, REALS, SPACE and HELNO ripping some pieces on a myriad of vans, boards and a bus.
Fresh from BERST’s speaking appearance at Analogue Digital (LINK) Conference in Sydney and running on only 45 minutes of sleep, we jumped a cab to the airport at 6am for our flight to BNE. With the hangover and sleep depravation setting in fast, getting stuck on the tarmac for over an hour was not the most friendly of situations. I was feeling a range of emotions and experiencing cold and then hot flushes as I drifted in and out of consciousness. At first I blamed the drinking, until I realised that it was the plane’s air conditioning acting a fool, which is why we were stuck on the tarmac in the first place.
Fake drama aside, we arrived in Brisso about an hour late and hooked it across to Crush City, moved the vehicles into position and the boys got busy. All in all, the day was awesome fun, watching the writers get busy and rambling on to anyone who’d listen.
