‘Veneer’ by Guido Van Helten is a new body of work that challenges the notions of conservative cultural policy vs. street art and graffiti in his home town of Brisbane. Through a collection of painting on demolished ‘Queenslander’ architectural materials, Guido’s work combines the classic with the contemporary, depicting a colourful alternative to the current state of the arts in Queensland.
Opening: 6-9pm, Friday 14 September, 2012.
