During May, the Sydney based and internationally acclaimed artist BEASTMAN will be presenting his first solo exhibition at Backwoods Gallery in Melbourne.
‘Future Origins’ will be a continued exploration of BEASTMAN’s vision of the future. BEASTMAN’s work depicts a latent cosmical ecosystem of hope and survival; a world inhabited by new lifeforms whose supernatural origins are suggested through concentric symmetry and vibrant details.
In parallel to the development of his narrative universe, ‘Future Origins’ presents the development of BEASTMAN’s visual aesthetic. It will be an striking collection of work which reflects a dedication to experimentation and to the refinement of technique.
‘Future Origins’ will consist of a series of acrylic and ink paintings on wood, large wall installation, new limited edition print, sculptural work and an array of experiments with video animation. Working within the confines of each medium, BEASTMAN will present a cohesive visual narrative that is greater than the sum of its parts.
