Last year, we shared parts one and two of DOES’ journey to the Mojave Desert for Mural Oasis, which featured the first three of four murals that the Dutch graffiti artist completed during his 12 day stay in Nevada. Now, we present video three, which shows his fourth and final wall of the project.
DOES visited Mural Oasis for stage two of this ambitious three-stage project. Stage two featured 16 artists. We look forward to sharing more artwork and stories from Mural Oasis soon. In the meantime, follow @muraloasis on IG, as they unveil the different murals painted on-site.
“I spent a lot of time and paid ample attention to composition and details. Each project begins the same, with a simple pencil sketch. During this process, the colors and materials start to emerge.”
“For this project I wanted to use different materials, to have no boundaries and not limit myself to only spraycans. Due to the short time and the large amount of work (four walls in 12 days), I spent a lot of time preparing the event.”
“I decided to share my work process, so Scott Ray George travelled along to capture the making of these four artworks during this 12 day Vegas trip.”
“Watching this video made me realize I’m very satisfied with the artworks, which gives me motivation and inspiration for my future projects.” –DOES
