If you missed this years event at the Brisbane Powerhouse, it is clear that ‘The Design Conference’ has successfully evolved to become one of the world’s favourite two-day design conferences. From audience members through to keynote presenters, attendees raved about their experience on Twitter and Instagram under the hashtag #adbne15.
To supersede the expectations of this years event, our mate Matthew Haynes (organiser and founder) has successfully secured a range of internationally acclaimed entrepreneurs, designers and artists to make their Australian debut at next years conference in Brisbane, May 2016.
Over the past five years the design conference has featured more than 90% of Australia’s best known creatives, including super-stars like Chris Doyle, Kevin Finn and Dare Jennings. “To keep our audience excited and engaged, we must debut internationally acclaimed thought leaders at our event here in Brisbane” said Matt.
To demonstrate his intensions, Matt announced the first three presenters for next years event as part of a Pozible crowd funding campaign which was launched this past Friday Night.
Already secured for next year’s event (including First Coat Art and Music festival in Toowoomba):
– D*FACE: an internationally acclaimed street/gallery artist from the UK.
– Timba Smits: an expat Illustrator, artist and art director residing in the UK
– Jonathan LeVine: a world renowned gallery curator from New York City.
According to Matt, this is just the start. For every A$5,000 raised over their A$15,000 initial target, he promises to deliver another international speaker until a maximum of six internationals are secured by raising over A$30,000.
