Our homie Mike Giant in San Francisco just posted a dope blog post about Ironlak. Thanks Mike!
Here’s the story in his words:
“A few weeks ago, I got a bunch of Ironlak paint from my buddy Luke in Australia. I’d been saving it for a nice daytime wall here in the City, and I finally had a chance to try it out on Sunday. My roommate Ronny got permission to paint the side wall of a (really good) pizza spot at the corner of Dubose and Valencia. Right across the street from Zeitgeist. So I packed up 18 cans in my basket and got to it!”
“I got my piece done pretty quickly, and snapped this shot as Keb and Buter were still finishing their pieces.”
“I freestyled my outline, and I think it came out OK. I was able to use every color I had, which was great; but since I’m color-blind, I have no idea if it worked out or not.”
“When legendary Cuba (one of the first writers in SF) stopped by, he couldn’t believe how bright the Ironlak colors are. I heard the same thing from just about everybody that came by that day. Ironlak is without question the best paint I’ve ever used. It’s super opaque, and dries really fast. Usually it’s hard to get yellows, oranges, and reds to cover black, but I had no problem with the Ironlak. So dope. Thanks, Luke! Feel free to send me some more!”
