Martha: A Picture Story is Now Open in Australian Cinemas (& Giveaway Winners)

Martha: A Picture Story opened yesterday in Australian cinemas. The film follows the life of photographer Martha Cooper, an icon in our world, and a person whose photos are the reason that many of us were exposed to graffiti culture in the first place.

Beyond her work in the arts, the movie also showcases the additional subject matter that Cooper has trained her lens on over her career – almost always exploring themes of play, and those who are on the fringe of society. From kids making toys with found materials in New York, Baltimore, and Haiti, to Yakuza tattoo culture in Japan, to ‘casitas’ (Puerto Rican-style houses) built in NY.

Don’t sleep. Jump into a session now. To find a cinema near you, visit the film’s cinema listing page, or Google ‘Martha: A Picture Story Showtimes’.

Thanks to all who entered our Martha Giveaway. Congrats to all our winners. We notified all winners via email on Wednesday. If your name appears below and you haven’t received an email, check your spam folder. We’re still waiting to hear back from a couple of you.
