Adelaide played host to its 3rd BBQ Burners event late last year, and having previously been attended by many of the still active writers from Adelaide’s golden era’s, this year was about having new blood and giving back to writers that hadn’t gotten down on the wall previously, with a special emphasis on the guys that are currently getting up.
We got down to the wall for a relatively early start, and being Adelaide, it wasn’t long before the Coopers Pale’s started flowing. Adelaide always treats this event more like a reunion than anything else, with numerous heads from Adelaide’s graff and Hiphop scene rolling through for a beer, snag and some old war stories during the day.
Many laughs were had, old times reminisced and new connections made, and somehow in the midst of that, some cool pieces managed to get painted as well.
Cheers to all who turned out to be a part of the day, special thanks to Biz on the BBQ, Vans the Omega, Justin at Clinic 116, Da Klinic and all the artists who turned up to rock it: Zed, Thorts, Palms & Goaties, 4U2C, John E, Epyk, Hesin, Kophen, Ayer and Verse. – Old Man PALMS.
