The Netherland’s incredibly unique DOES will be presenting works in ‘Transition’ – a Solo Exhibition opening on Saturday, June 13 (ending July 31) at Maxwell Colette Gallery in Chicago. The exhibition will feature recent mixed media paintings on canvas, including large scale work up to 18 feet in length.
DOES’ body of work will incorporate a collection of his unbelievably technical paintings where he manipulates the traditional letterform, making each letter unique, illustrating his current state of mind. Making things more interesting with no boundaries, DOES takes elements from different movements and incorporates them into his painting. Presenting a solid body of incredibly detailed work, DOES will share his style of a more conceptual and painterly form of graffiti. Where letterforms are dripping and melting away at their edges into the painting’s etherial, minimalist backgrounds.
