With the construction of Copenhagen’s new metro line, new walls and new opportunities for painting have been created. STORM got together with some of Europe’s finest and gave one of the dull walls a much needed splash of colour.
“I was part of the beautification of the construction site of the new metro line and the massive fence that surrounds it. the project consisted of a collaboration with a lot of other local artists as a yearly returning event to give the local residence and neighbours of the construction site something more inspiring to admire, instead of the usually green painted fence also referred to in local terms as ‘the great wall’.
I had the opportunity to involve some very talented writers but also some good friends of mine to make this project a reality.
The team involved ZOER and VELVET from France, SEMOR from Germany, KKADE from Switzerland, DAIS from Denmark and myself.
With a mutual understanding of teamwork, being able to work on a limited timeframe and with a writers perspective the project was a bit easier to approach and execute.
Thanks to Ironlak, the local paint shop Uptop and Metro and Kreativt Forum on Vesterbro.
