The winners of BombingScience’s AUGUST Sketch Battle were recently announced. Here’s the good word JURNE who judged this competition.
The sketch word for this battle was ‘SCIENCE’, sketched backwards. Read JURNE’s judging notes under each post.
“Thank you to everyone who submitted sketches. There were so many dope sketches, it was really difficult to decide which ones were the winners. Also, there was a wide variety of skill levels of writers who did sketches.
A big thanks to everyone who did sketches, whether you have been writing for 10 days or 10 years. To all the newer writers who made sketches, keep on keeping on. You guys and girls are the next generation.” –Jurne.
This SYHIS 179 was really interesting. The cracked ice background working as the 3D of the letters in parts is a cool way to flip something traditional and make it your own. The letters are on point and the background is nice.
Second place: EKOSE 22.
EKOSE has a really ill concept with the mad scientist, the chalk board, the beaker smoke. The color use in the sketch is really good. The bevels and shadows on the letters are dope.
Third place: PERTS.
Really solid bold letters, a cool background and the Walter White character make Perts the 3rd place winner of the August 2012 Bombing Science competition.
