BATES, JURNE and GREAT combine forces for “Its all about the letters,” an exhibition at V9 Gallery in Warsaw, Poland, opening on Saturday March 31, 2012
Known for writing text with color in the streets of Copenhagen and Oakland, California, these A.B.C. “Abecedarians” bring their letter craft indoors – trading spraycans for more distinguished writing utensils, yet their focus remains on bending, breaking and abstracting the characters of the written language.
Shopkeeps of the word in the street, these vandals of vowels guarantee an exhibition chock-full of ornamental consonants, italicized nick-nacks, and phoneme embellishments.
“It’s All About The Letters” features new serigraphs, paintings, and hand-cut paper designs from BATES, JURNE and GREAT.
