ASKEW – ‘EXODUS’ Exhibition (Sydney)

The incredibly talented ASKEW will be showing new works in his ‘Exodus’ Exhibition on the 22nd of May (for one night only). This show is a continuation of the artists’ last four bodies of work (Entropy, The Evolving Face, Diaspora and Oceanic), the title ‘Exodus’ refers to the perpetual migration of people within the greater Pacific region. The underlying themes of cultural identity still hold true but are explored through a much more experimental style of portraiture, abstraction and graffiti still life paintings depicting traditional Pacific foods. Hosted by the great crew at Goodspace Gallery in Sydney the exhibition takes place as part of the Semi-Permanent Conference at which ASKEW is speaking, taking place at Carriageworks on the 22nd and 23rd of this month.
