ARTIST: Mr WANY.
TITLE: “Street Art finish in 2012!”
TECHNIQUE: Acrylic on canvas.
DIMENSIONS: 100 x 120 cm
YEAR: 2011.
Short description:
“This work was designed to exorcise, with an ironic sneer, the bigoted beliefs of human beings, prophecies and popular culture that ‘the world will end in 2012.’
This challenges the predictions of some artists and curators who believe this is a weakness of the art movement, as though they’d prefer a ‘quick ending.’
This piece is called “Street Art finish in 2012!” It highlights in detail the iconic representations that underline my point of view about this topic, that as an artist, you can find work to live. ” –Mr WANY.
