Last week we shared the first wall from DOES’ trip to Primm, Nevada for Mural Oasis. As one of 16 artists on the Nevada/ Cali border, he got to work painting four murals in 12 days – covering 140+ square metres of surface. In video two, we see DOES create walls two and three from the project.
“I spent a lot of time and paid ample attention to composition and details. Each project begins the same, with a simple pencil sketch. During this process, the colors and materials start to emerge.”
“For this project I wanted to use different materials, to have no boundaries and not limit myself to only spraycans. Due to the short time and the large amount of work (four walls in 12 days), I spent a lot of time preparing the event.”
“I decided to share my work process, so Scott Ray George travelled along to capture the making of these four artworks during this 12 day Vegas trip.”
“Watching this video made me realize I’m very satisfied with the artworks, which gives me motivation and inspiration for my future projects.” –DOES
